Stαthis Roukαs is a Greek interdisciplinary artist and researcher whose practice spans live performance, video, photography, and language. His work explores the performativity of the human body within physical and social contexts. Born in Athens in 1991, Roukas studied Applied Arts and Interior Architecture before relocating to Berlin in 2015, where he currently lives and works.

Rooted in existential inquiry, Roukas’s artistic practice navigates themes of identity, belonging, societal expectation, trauma, desire, and transcendence. His evocative, uncanny works invite reflection on the complexities of the human condition and the relational dynamics between individuals, society, and the environment.

Roukas is known for immersive, often participatory performances that engage audiences physically, intellectually or emotionally. Frequently site-specific, these works foster introspection, dialogue, inclusion, and deeper connection.

Roukas’s work has been exhibited in museums, galleries, festivals, and off-spaces across Europe, Japan, Brazil, and Ethiopia. He works aside as embodiment photographer, sensual bodyworker and movement facilitator.
